This shoe is originally from the 16th century and was worn by the establishment. Then around 1900 was a common shoe for boys until Mary Jane was born. She was a character from the comic “Buster Brown” and she used to wear these shoes . Later became so popular for women, even men stopped using them.
Nowadays we can notice a slight entry of this type of shoe worn by men again. We have seen Tyler the Creator wearing a Dr. Martens version of these shoes and brands like Telfar have done thei own version in collaboration with Converse.
Will men start wearing them again? I hope so, but first we need brands doing them in bigger sizes .
