The vibrant pink collection takes inspiration from the 70’s style and includes complex patterns. It also features sport-inspired jerseys, such as the famous cycling ones with the beloved Pink Panther.
The jewellery was designed by Judy Blame. Rei said that it was his “strong and unique vision” that excited her to collaborate with the punk iconoclast.
The British luxury eyewear brand Cutler and Gross designed exclusive fuchsia pink lenses for this collection. They went on to collaborate with the Homme Plus line on multiple occasions after this.
Now we show a short story from a talk between the post´s writer and one of the runway models. “The show was held in a semi-derelict space and most of the models were members of the British Indie rock band Cazals. Rei was quite formal and serious while Judy had a big smile on his face and was incredibly calm. Everyone hated their hair and were frantically trying to restyle it between the (too) many changes. Many acquaintances of the band members were present to encourage them, making the whole thing pretty raucous.”
